Determine Your Skin Type
First things first Determine your skin type. Is it oily, dry, combination? You can’t do anything till you figure out which one you are.
To figure out your skin type simply:
- Take a clean cotton pad, ball, or cloth.
- Blot your face. Your forehead, chin, and side of nose
- Holding the wipe up to the light determine if there is oil on it. If there is, you most likely have oily skin. If there are no visible oils, you have normal/combination.
Now that you have determined your skin type, you can invest in a facewash specific to your type. However, a warm wash cloth with a natural toner (such as 1 part apple cider vinegar to 1 part water) and moisturizer of choice is the healthiest and most frugal way to go.
When moisturizing always massage your skin in circular motions. Taking care to never to pull the skin under your eyes or throat.
